Tyre spinner wedding ring

As a biking enthusiastic Ben wanted a wedding ring which looked like a tyre which he could fiddle with. To be more specific, he sent me a photo of the tyre tread of his bike for me to copy.

I oxidised the tyre to make it fairly black and the finished effect was a lovely gun metal colour.

One of my favourite pieces to make.
